Bronx-born DJ Funkmaster Flex is well known in the hip-hop community thanks to his No. 1 radio show on New York's Hot 97 and his regular gig as a DJ at Manhattan's trendy Tunnel Club. Funkmaster Flex is one of the most sought after DJs on the urban scene and has worked with artists such as Naughty by Nature, Erykah Badu, Missy "Midemeanor" Elliott, Busta Rhymes and Foxy Brown, to name a few. His first two compilation discs, 1995's Mix Tape Vol. I and 1997's Mix Tape Vol II both went gold. Mix Tape Vol. III: The Final Chapter was released in 1998 on Loud Records with Vol. IV, his latest, following in 2000. (RS)
